Overview

A national strategy, made personal

Oman's Golden Residency was introduced by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion to strengthen the Sultanate's standing as a secure destination for foreign capital, and to draw in the global talent behind it. It sits within Oman Vision 2040's push toward a diversified, competitive, sustainable economy.

Qualifying investors are granted residency for ten years, renewable, against a minimum total commitment of OMR 200,000. That commitment can sit entirely in one route, or be built by combining several — real estate, a company, government bonds, listed securities, a fixed deposit, or Omani employment — whichever fits how the investor already holds capital.

Muscat Auditing and Accounting Services advises investors and companies through eligibility, documentation, and audited financials at every stage of the application.

What the card confers

Beyond the residency itself, holders receive a set of practical rights designed to make Oman a genuine base, not just a filing address.

Unrestricted family residency

First-degree family members may reside alongside the investor with no cap on number or age.

A second property, outside the ITCs

Own one additional property beyond the Integrated Tourism Complexes, for residential, commercial, or industrial use — and transfer that right on if needed.

Citizen lanes at the border

Use the lanes reserved for Omani nationals at airports and land crossings.

Household staff, sponsor-free

Employ up to three domestic workers without needing a sponsor to issue their permits.

Visit visas for relatives

Sponsor visit visas for extended family, independent of the standard visitor process.

Six approved routes

Choose one, or combine several

Each route carries its own conditions and paperwork. Select an instrument to see what qualifies, and what your file will need — Muscat Audit prepares the audited figures and certificates behind each one.
